Description

The well head, located approximately 35 meters southwest of the Classical Seat, dates from around 1750 and is possibly designed by Thomas Robins. It features an oval limestone well head with a splayed opening measuring approximately 1.25 by 0.80 meters, topped with a slab lintel. Although it is a minor element, it contributes to a group of garden buildings within an important surviving rococo ensemble.
