Description
Watledge House, along with its gate piers and approximately 30 yards of wall to the southeast, dates from the early 19th century. The house features an ashlar façade on the garden front and has a modern tiled roof. It stands three storeys tall with three windows, which are fitted with glazing bar sashes, and has a slight central break. The building includes tie bars and a central Doric porch adorned with dentils. To the right, there is a single-storey extension that was formerly a stable, and at the rear, two gabled extensions are now connected by an entrance lobby accessed through a modern arched doorway. A square plan stair projection is located at the rear. The street wall, made of rubble and standing about 10 feet high, extends from the left-hand rear extension to the mid-19th century gate piers to the southeast, measuring approximately 30 yards long and ramped down to the gate piers.
