Description

The Shears is a former inn recorded from 1804, located on Watledge Road. This building stands three storeys high and is constructed of coursed and dressed rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. It has three windows, with glazing bar sashes; the center window on the second floor is blind. The ground floor windows are fixed, and there are fretted cast-iron vents above them. A modern glazed door is situated in the center of the ground floor, and the building is topped with a modern tile roof.
