Description

The Nathaniel Long memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 8 meters south of the south-west corner of the Church of St Giles in Uley. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a simple design with a series of flat, square-edged slabs resting on a limestone plinth. The inscription on the top reads "NATHANIEL LONG, CLOTHIER, 1807." This memorial is included for its historical interest and its contribution to the group value of the area.
