Description

This group of nine monuments is located in the churchyard approximately 1 to 5 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Cyr. They date from the early 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of limestone and sandstone.

The group includes two lyre-ended chest tombs, both with illegible inscriptions. There are also two square pedestal tombs featuring attached reeded corner columns and domical tops with urns; one is inscribed to Richard Pettat, who died in 1809, and the other to Rev. John Pettat, who died in 1811. Additionally, there is a square sandstone pedestal tomb with recessed corners, inscribed to Thomas Pettat, who died in 1804.

The group further comprises two rectangular chest tombs: one adorned with cherub's heads and a death's head, with illegible inscriptions, and the other with fielded panels inscribed to Nathaniel Cole, who died in 1774. Finally, there are two rectangular pedestal tombs; one features finely carved cartouches and flanking panels, inscribed to Thomas Pettat, who died in 1806, while the other has panelled sides and a domical top, with illegible inscriptions.
