It is made of limestone and features lyre ends with a cartouche on the east side and a winged cherub's head on the mutilated west end. The rectangular side panels have ovolo moulding and are inscribed, with figures holding open books on the south side and holding the inscription panel frame on the north side. The top of the tomb is cavetto moulded, while the base is not visible. The south side is inscribed in memory of Esther, the wife of John, who died in 1729.
