Description

This is a well head with a hand pump mechanism, built around 1850 by Henry Woodyer. It is made of limestone and features an iron mechanism. The well head has a conical top and a square body, with tall hooded lancet openings on two sides. A flywheel projects through the lancets, and a handle extends from a small hooded lancet on the side. It is topped with a decorative iron finial and is located in the west courtyard of the primary school.
