Description
The Jones monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 11 meters southeast of the Organ monument and southeast of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1791 and is made of sandstone. The tomb has a square shape with an acanthus frieze and features raised oval inscription panels on each side, with paterae in the spandrels. The top is moulded with pyramidal coping, and it has a moulded plinth. The south side is inscribed in memory of John Rice Jones, who died in 1791.
