Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb from the 18th century, located approximately 13 meters west of the buttress on the west wall of the Church of St Giles in Uley. The tomb is made of limestone and features a cyma top. It has a moulded frieze on the east and west sides, adorned with a carved shield. The north side has a raised elliptical panel, while the south side has a raised rectangular panel with quadrant corners. The inscriptions on the tomb are not legible. At the time of the survey, part of the tomb was sunk into the ground, making the base not visible.
