Description

The stables and cartshed, located approximately 20 meters northwest of the barn at Stancombe Ash Farm, date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from random and coursed rubble limestone and feature a stone slate roof. The south-facing stable includes a central segmental arched stable door flanked by two segmental arched casements. A stone stair returns from a loft doorway at the west end. The cartshed has three tapering monolithic piers with chamfered caps. This building is included for its group value.
