Description
Driftcombe is a detached house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of coursed and squared limestone with an ashlar chimney and a concrete tile roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic and features a two-storey rear wing. The front has a three-window arrangement, with three-light casements on the ground floor and two-light casements above, all of which are chamfered mullioned casements. The ground floor casements are grouped under a combining hoodmould that rises over the stone lintel of a central chamfered doorway. There are three flush roof lights. The east end has 20th-century casements with concrete lintels, while the west end has a single 20th-century casement that lights a spiral staircase. The chimney is located at the west end and has a moulded cap.
