Description
Puckpool Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Arlingham High Street. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof that is hipped at both ends of the front range. The brick stacks have been rebuilt in the 19th century and have oversailing caps. The building has a U-shape with two shallow rear ranges and stands two storeys tall with an attic.
The front facade has four windows, which are 2-light wood mullion and transom windows with segmental heads. There are brick dentils between single strings at the eaves and a two-brick string below. The ground floor windows have been partly altered, and there is a half-glazed door in the second bay, which has a flat hood above it. The rear of the house also features mostly 2-light wood mullion and transom windows facing the street. On the right-hand return, there is a 5-light attic wood mullion window with iron glazing bars and wooden internal shutters, likely used for ventilating a cheese room.
