Description
Slowwe House is a detached house divided into two occupations, likely built in the early 18th century and enlarged in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick with a stone slate roof at the front and part tiled at the rear, featuring large brick stacks with oversailing courses. It has a shallow H-plan layout, with a projecting two-storey central porch, a small wing on the left, and a large rear wing on the right that joins the main ridge at a small hip. The house is mostly two-storeys high, with the section to the right of the porch added in the 19th century. There are four windows, which are three-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds and arched lights, with the ground floor windows being longer. The porch has a blind wall above it on the main house and features a two-light plain stone mullion over a three-centred archway. The door is not visible, and a complete external view of the house is not accessible.
