Description

No. 9 John Street is an early 19th-century building constructed from ashlar stone. It stands two storeys tall and features a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The façade includes five ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor is horizontally rusticated. The central bay is slightly recessed and has a door flanked by pilasters. There is a one-storey extension to the south, also made of ashlar and with a moulded eaves cornice. This extension has four blind windows, each adorned with triple keystones.
