Description
Clissold Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of good coursed and squared limestone with a concrete tile roof. The building is long and consists of two parts, with the right-hand gable end set into a ground slope. The right, higher section has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows with three-light flush chamfered mullion casements, and a two-light window above a central four-panel door. There are plat band strings at both the ground and first floors, and two gable stacks. The right return has a plain door opening to the attic, which is accessed by six stone steps. The left section includes two-light and one-light wood casements flanking a four-panel door beneath a shallow transom light, and a three-light steel and two-light wood casement at the first floor. A stone stack is located on the left side. The rear of the farmhouse features a two-light stone mullioned casement set at mid-level, below a stopped hood, along with various casements under a lean-to.
