10/177 Lodge and gateway approximately 200m west of Misarden Park

Lodge and gateway. Lodge dated 1864, possibly by Alfred Waterhouse. Coursed rook-faced rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Ashlar gate piers with wrought iron gates. Single-storey with attic lodge, additional wing to east forming L- plan. Gateway to north. North gable end of lodge extended to left over pointed arched porch with catslide roof has decorative barge boards; canted oriel with moulded base and coped top. Full gable on west side with similar barge boards and 2-light shouldered arched casement to each floor below; tall eaves-mounted chimney to left with diagonal shaft. Large central projecting chimney on south side with doorway now blocked by casement. Small upper floor pointed window with carved coat-of-arms above. Flat-roofed single- storey east addition to lodge in matching style. Gateway has 2 square piers with moulded cornice tops having ball finials; smaller flanking piers with ball finials, linked to main piers by short length of railed screen. Horizontal scroll band to gates with rich overthrow.
