Description
White Hart Cottage is a detached house dating from the early 18th century, with a rear wing added in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building is two stories tall, with the rear wing forming an L-shape.
The front of the cottage has a two-window arrangement, with a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window above, both of which have chamfered mullions and hoodmoulds. There is a small single-light blocked opening beneath the left ground floor window, which may have once illuminated a former cellar. The gable ends have chimneys with moulded caps, and there is a reset oval window in the east gable end.
The rear wing appears to have been mostly restored or rebuilt, featuring mullioned windows on the west side and a doorway with a flat porch hood and a 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected.
