Description
This barn, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 30 meters southwest of Upper Battlescombe Farmhouse. It is constructed from random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has three bays and includes a central hipped-roofed porch on the west side, which has plank doors and a timber lintel. There is also a central doorway on the east side, again with plank doors and a timber lintel. Inside, the barn has a king post truss roof, and while the inserted end lofts have been removed, the main beams remain. The floor is made of concrete. This plain barn is in a relatively intact state and is part of a group that includes the farmhouse and a stable with a cartshed.
