Description
South Lodge is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone laid in courses, with a concrete tile roof and stone gable end stacks. The building has an L-shape, with a smaller extension at the rear, and stands two storeys high with an attic. The left side features two casement windows, while the right gable has sash windows, all set beneath rubble stone arches. The main range has a coved eaves cornice. The south front includes two gabled dormers and cambered rubble stone window arches with keystones above the glazing bar sashes, which date from the 19th century. The central entrance has a six-panel door topped by a flat stone hood supported on large brackets.
