Description
This is an 18th-century chest tomb located in the churchyard about 2 meters southeast of the porch of the Church of St. John the Baptist. It is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge. The ends of the tomb are shaped like lyres and are adorned with scrolls and leaves, which surround two additional leafy scrolls arranged in a heart shape. The sides of the tomb have a sunk central panel intended for an inscription, framed by a moulded border. Originally, there were carved panels on each side, but only one remains on the north side. This surviving panel depicts an open book with a head above it and a swag above that. The tomb shows signs of weathering.
