Description

The Hartland monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 7.5 meters south of the tower of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a later inscription and a moulded edge. On the north side, there is a fielded panel, while the south side has a raised panel with a moulded edge. The corners of the tomb are adorned with quarter square balusters, and the ends also have raised panels with moulded edges. The monument is supported by a moulded base that shows signs of weathering.
