Description
Ketford Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse built with Flemish bond brickwork and a tiled roof. It has a three-window, two-and-a-half storey front and features an 'L' plan with a lean-to infilling the angle and a rear wing that is one-and-a-half storeys high. The front of the house has a plinth and a central boarded door that is accessed by one stone step, topped with a 2-pane rectangular fanlight and a cambered brick arch above. On either side of the door, there are three-light casement windows with original iron opening lights, also featuring cambered brick arches. Above these windows is a plain brick string course that stops short of the ends of the building. The first floor has three wooden casements, each with three lights and cambered brick arches. The eaves are open rafter style over a brick dentil eaves, and there are brick chimneys on the ridge at the gables. Internally, there is a small ovolo moulding to the window frames, but the interior has not been inspected.
