Description

The Yearworth memorial is a chest tomb located about 27 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It commemorates James Yearworth, who died in 1800. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a flat top with a hollow moulded capping. It has quarter balusters and a moulded plinth. The short ends display upright oval panels, while the long sides feature large horizontally laid oval panels, all adorned with inscriptions and floral and foliage decorations in the corners.
