Description
Killarneys is a small farmhouse built in the early 19th century. It features Flemish-bond brickwork and a slate roof. The building is three windows wide and one and a half rooms deep, with two storeys. The central front door is a six-panel design, with the bottom panel flush and the upper panel having an applied bead around the edge. There is an open work timber porch with a hipped slate roof and shaped eaves, which has a carved head in the wall above the apex of the roof. On either side of the door, there are sash windows with the upper sash being one pane deep, topped with flat rubbed brick arches. The first floor has similar windows, with a blind opening in the centre. The eaves are dentil, and the gable chimneys project slightly from the building's envelope. The roof slopes down over the rear half of the rooms. There is also a later single-storey extension on the left. The farmhouse is modest but complete.
