Description

The monument to William Lewis is located in the churchyard, 5 metres southeast of the porch door to the Church of St Andrew. This chest tomb dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat ledger slab with a rounded edge, plain quarter balusters, and a simple moulded base. The inscription panels are plain, with the northern panel having a sunk surround and fine lettering that reads: WILLIAM LEWIS, 1765. There are also inscriptions on the east and south sides of the tomb.
