Description
The Stephens Monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 7 meters north of the east end of the chancel at the Church of St. Bartholomew in Redmarley d'Abitot. It commemorates Elizabeth Stephens, who died in 1820. The monument is made of stone and features a circular base for an urn, two square steps, and a moulded edge on the lid. The fluted frieze includes a central design and corner paterae. The east and west sides have raised circles with corner paterae, while the north and south sides display raised diamonds on a fluted background. The whole structure has a moulded base and indented corners, except for the steps above the lid.
