Description

The base of a stone cross, dating from the medieval period, is located about 7 meters north of the junction with Main Road in Huntley. The base is square, measuring approximately 670 millimeters on each face and standing about 900 millimeters high. It consists of two stones, one for each course. The lower stone is weathered and irregular, while the upper stone tapers from square to octagonal shape, featuring pyramid corner stops and a flat top. Above the weathered stone, there is about 300 millimeters on the face and 600 millimeters high, which shows traces of reducing from square to octagon with pyramid stops.
