Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 meters south of the tower of the Church of St. Mary, dating from 1772. The tomb is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge, which has gadrooning on the upper part. The sides have a raised central rectangle with scalloped corners, and the edge is adorned with bead and reel and leaf moulding, along with rococo carving in the corners. The ends of the tomb have elongated pilasters, with carved poppies on the edges. The west end displays an hourglass surrounded by a serpent of eternity, along with wings, two heads, a skull, and bones, all set over a scroll. The east end has a raised panel with scalloped corners on the stem. The inscription is weathered, but the year is still legible.
