Description
Bledisloe Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brick, featuring a brick modillion eaves course and a plinth made of slag blocks with three visible courses. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building has a wide front and a narrow depth, with gable stacks and new wings added to the rear. It stands two storeys high with a lit roof space and has a three-windowed facade. The windows are sashes without bars, set under flat arches. The central entrance consists of a two-leaf door with six panels, of which the top two are glazed, and is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets. In the gables, there are two-light casements under segmental heads, with rectangular leaded panes in the window on the right. The farmhouse is reputed to have brick vaulted cellars that span the full width of the property.
