Description
This is a stile slab dated RB 1766, set against a rubble stone abutment wall. The large stone slab measures approximately 1.25 meters high, 1.5 meters wide, and 100 millimeters thick. It is positioned against the stone wall on the left side but is not secured at the outer right edge. The stile is accessed by stone steps from Awre Road and marks the bottom end of a footpath that descends from the A48, Newnham Road, to Awre Road. The slab is similar to another stile located at Lower Etloe.
