Description
The Dingle is a house located in Redmarley D'Abitot, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later enlargements in the 19th and late 20th centuries. It features brick-nogged timber-framing with slight timbers set on a brick plinth, along with rendered extensions and a tiled roof. The building consists of two bays, is two storeys high with an attic, and has single-storey extensions. A late 20th-century gabled porch has been added.
On the right side, the lower part of the wall has been renewed in painted brickwork, and there is a three-light casement window. To the left, there are two two-light casements, along with a two-light casement in the extension. The framing in the right bay extends two panels high to the eaves, while the left side appears to have a slightly lower original wallplate, with the eaves later raised. The house has two gabled dormers with two-light casements and weatherboarding on the gables. An external brick stack is located against the left gable, with its base surrounded by the extension, while a brick external chimney stack on the right is now within the extension. The interior has not been inspected.
