Description
The building is a former barn and adjoining stable located to the south-east of The Manor House, possibly dating from the late 18th century. It is currently used for storage and garaging. The barn originally featured a flush entry on the west side with a timber lintel, which has been partially glazed and fitted with sliding garage doors. There are remnants of a gabled opposed entry on the east side, which has been partially dismantled to accommodate a large 20th-century corrugated iron lean-to. A small hatch is situated to the left of the flush entry. To the right, the lower level building, likely the former stable, has wide doors at each end with timber lintels and a small three-light window in between, along with a pitch hole above. Both interiors have been significantly altered in the 20th century. To the left, there is a later single-storey addition, probably from the mid to late 19th century, featuring two cambered head two-light casements and a central sliding door that replaces the original, although the cambered head fanlight remains in place.
