Description
Robins Cottage is a Grade II listed building located in Chedworth, originally known as No 59 (Heskin's Cottage). This structure consists of two cottages, with the main part dating from the 17th century and a 19th-century extension added to the north-west gable end. The cottage is built from limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with ashlar stacks.
The original 17th-century section has a one-up-one-down plan, while the 19th-century extension is a single bay. The south-west entrance front showcases a prominent gablet on the 17th-century range, with a two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window on the ground floor, and a similar casement in the gablet. To the right of the window, there is a 19th-century plank door set within a 20th-century lean-to porch, and to the left, an early buttress with offsets. The 19th-century extension features a three-light casement window. The former gable-end stack has been incorporated into the extension, along with an axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
