Description
The building at 5224 Rectory Lane, Walcot, is an 18th-century structure, altered in the early 19th century and later. It is two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble with a concrete tile roof, retaining stone slates to the rear. The front features two casement windows. A projecting, one-and-a-half storey extension connects to Pear Tree Cottage. The cottage’s site is of historical significance, located on the area of the original settlement of Bourton, situated between the church and the camp, suggesting the potential incorporation of earlier fabric within its structure.
