Description
The William Matthews table tomb, located to the north-east of the church, dates from 1696. It is a stone table tomb featuring panelled sides and a heavy stepped capping. The south side panel is enriched but the inscription is illegible. The main feature of the tomb is a bust of a female effigy resting on a plain square cushion with corner trestles, which is likely from the 16th century or possibly the 15th century.
