Description

Honeysuckle Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, extended in the 20th century. It is built of coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone quoins, and has a stone slate roof with a 20th-century stone stack featuring dressed quoins. The building has a rectangular plan and a three-windowed facade. The ground floor windows, from left to right, include a three-light 20th-century casement, two 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, dressed stone lintels, and a nine-pane top opening casement. Two sliding sash windows are set into the first floor. A two-light half dormer, also from the 20th century, is on the left side. At the rear, there are two single-light windows, one sliding sash and a two-light 20th-century casement on the first floor. A stable-type front door is within a 19th-century gabled timber-built porch situated off-centre to the left. A single-storey lean-to is attached to the right gable end. The main body of the cottage has a single axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
