Description
Nos 2 and 3 in Sherborne Village is a detached house that dates back to the 17th century, with 19th-century extensions. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof, an ashlar stack, and a 20th-century stone stack. The main body from the 17th century has four bays and was likely built in two stages. There is a two-bay 19th-century extension on the right gable end, which includes a lean-to on the right side. The windows are wooden casements with leaded panes, featuring one and two lights, and there is a blocked single light window on the first floor. The house is 1½ storeys high. The 19th-century extension has a plank door and a single light casement on the right, along with a stack at the gable end. The original 17th-century main body had a projecting gable-end stack and another gable-end stack, both with moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
