Description
The Manor is a large detached house dated and initialled 'I.B./1856', featuring a heraldic shield on the central gablet at the front. It is constructed from orange coursed squared and dressed limestone, with cream coloured quoin stones. The roof is primarily stone slate, with some artificial stone slate at the rear. The house has ashlar stacks and rendered brick stacks on the later extension.
The building is rectangular with a later wing at the rear and stands 2 and a half storeys tall. Its symmetrical facade has three windows and twin gables, with a projected porch at the center. The ground floor includes two 4-light canted bays with stone mullions and transoms, and both bays have parapets decorated with quatrefoils. The upper storey features three-light sash windows with stone mullions and stopped hoods above. There are tall slit windows in the gables and similar windows on the returns. Above the porch, there is a two-light stone-mullioned window with 2-pane sashes.
The entrance consists of a 19th-century Tudor arched part-glazed double door set within a moulded Tudor arch, leading to a flat-roofed porch. There are single lights on either side of the doorway, and a continuous hood over the doorway and flanking windows. The roof has saddleback coping with upright finials, and there are axial and lateral stacks with moulded cappings on the main body. The interior has not been inspected.
