Description
This open-fronted store, located approximately 4 meters south of the barn at Marsden Manor, dates from the mid-19th century and straddles the boundaries of Chedworth and Rendcomb parishes. It is constructed from random squared and dressed limestone and brick, featuring a roof made of corrugated asbestos and slate, with stone slate roofing on the extension. The building has a rectangular plan and consists of a single storey with an attic, along with a single-storey extension. The east front has four open bays, which are divided by octagonal stone monoliths topped with curved stone capitals. It includes a timber lintel and brick relieving arches. There are stone steps leading up the north gable end to a plank door that provides access to the loft.
