Description
Bay Tree Cottage and Rose Cottage are early 18th century buildings that have been restored. They are two storeys high with attics and constructed from rubble, topped with Cotswold stone roofs. The cottages feature three ashlar ridge chimneys with moulded capping, with the left-hand chimney located at the apex of the gable projecting from Bay Tree Cottage. This wing has one window with a replica cornice on the first floor and a mullion window on the right-hand return. The rest of the building is of a later date and includes one and two windows, with two and three light casements, and Bay Tree Cottage has oak mullions. There are three doors, with the middle door leading to a through passage that connects to a former bakehouse, which has been newly thatched and is not of special interest. A fire insurance mark is located above the right-hand door.
