Description

The Bakers Arms is a mid-19th century remodelling of an earlier 17th-century cottage. It is two storeys and has attics, constructed with rubble walls and a modern tile roof. The end chimneys include one made of ashlar. The front has three bays, with a central panel and outer Yorkshire sash windows featuring flat arches. A modern door, styled traditionally, is positioned centrally. Inside, the north ground floor room retains a heavily moulded spine beam with run-out stops and an inglenook fireplace, now with a modern lintel. The building has group value.
