Description
Scarborough Farmhouse with attached outbuildings is a 19th-century farmhouse located in Cutsdean. The main structure is built from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with an artificial limestone roof featuring limestone gable coping and ashlar stacks. The attached outbuilding is constructed from limestone rubble and has a limestone slate roof with an ashlar stack.
The farmhouse has a rectangular plan, consisting of two parallel blocks with outbuildings attached at right angles to the front left. It is two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light dormers that have wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars. The front has three windows, featuring 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements, with the mullions being square in section and having beaded edges. A central plank door is accessed by five steps.
The outbuildings to the left are single-storey with a hayloft above. There are three plank doors on the ground floor, along with a plank pitching door on the left gable. The main body of the farmhouse has flat gable coping, and the gable ends feature stacks with moulded caps and skirtings. The outbuildings have an axial stack with a moulded cap and skirting on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
