Description
North Cotswold Standard and Purdeys of Stow is an early 18th-century building that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed rubble with flush quoins and features a concrete tile roof with raised and moulded verges, kneelers, and a ball-finial at the east end. The building stands two and a half storeys tall and has two gabled dormers. On the first floor, there are three windows with glazing bar sashes, wide lintels, and keys; the central window is segment-headed with rubbed brick voussoirs forming a segmental arch and a stone key. The ground floor has two modern recessed bow windows flanking the original central doorway, which has an ovolo surround and keystone, leading to a glazed recessed door. At the rear, there is a two-bay extension with two gabled dormers, and there is a modern two-storey, three-window extension to Chapel Green that is not included in this listing.
