Description

The walls of Ture between The Talbot Hotel and The Pharmacy date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are partly formed by the side walls of both buildings and partly by extensions to the rear of each. A winding alleyway is created by these walls; on the east side, the rubble wall varies in height from 6 to 9 feet, allowing views to the rear of Digbeth Street. The Market Square features several Tures that connect it to Sheep Street, Fosseway, and Well Lane, which are believed to have helped manage sheep during Market Days.
