Description

Digbeth House is an early 19th-century building with a rear section retaining a 17th-century single-light window. The front is constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof, featuring two gabled dormers. It has two windows on the first floor, each with raised surrounds and sash windows containing vertical glazing bars. A projecting fascia with rectangular brackets shelters the ground-floor bay and a glazed entrance door, which has an early 19th-century transom light. The front room inside retains an enriched surround to the bay window, an enriched dado rail, and an enriched fire surround. A taller, three-storey wing stands almost detached to the rear; this is built of rubble with a Cotswold stone slate roof and has irregular window openings. This rear wing was likely used as a workshop and warehouse.
