Description
The stable and shelter shed at Adlestrop Stud is a building from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring ashlar quoins, with an artificial stone slate roof and a slate roof on the shelter shed. The stable is a rectangular block with the shelter shed set back and attached to the left gable end. The stable has two storeys and three bays, with 2-light casements that have glazing bars located at the far right and left. There is a plank door to the stable, with stone steps leading up to a plank door for the loft on the left side. The first floor has two 2-light casements. The single-storey shelter shed on the left has five bays, which are divided by timber uprights resting on sandstone padstones.
