Description
The railway sign and seat at Adlestrop bus shelter date from the 19th century and were originally part of Adlestrop Railway Station. They were relocated to their current position as part of a bus shelter in the 1970s.
The sign is made of timber, painted, and features metal fixings. It is designed in the standard style of the Great Western Railway, with a moulded trim and raised letters. The seat is constructed from cast iron with timber seating and has three legs that incorporate the Great Western Railway monogram. The sign is attached to a lap-board shelter, while the seat is bolted to a concrete slab floor.
