Description
The wall forms the south-east boundary of the churchyard and the northern boundary of Adlestrop Park. It is mostly from the 19th century, with some sections dating back to the mid-18th century. The wall is made of coursed squared and dressed limestone and varies in height between approximately 2 and 3 metres. From the perspective of Adlestrop Park, there are a pair of large round-headed niches with keystones, which were presumably intended to hold statues. There is a former 4-centred arched doorway that is now blocked, located opposite the south transept of the church. To the right, there is a flat-arched doorway with a 19th-century wrought iron gate. The wall features saddleback coping.
