Description

The pump located in the middle of The Green in Tetbury dates from the 19th century. It is made of painted iron and has the shape of an obelisk, standing about 1.8 meters high. The structure features panelled sides and a finial. It retains its original long handle, which has an end ball, although it is currently fixed in place and cannot be moved. The pump also has a spout. This pump is one of a pair, with the other being a damaged pump on The Knap, but this example is complete and in good condition.
