Description
Number 16 and Rosemount is a large house that includes a small cottage in the southwest corner. The front section of the building dates from the late 17th century, while the rear section is a staggered range from the mid-18th century. The front range is constructed of rubble stone with quoins and features a Cotswold stone slate roof. It has a central ridge and stone stacks on the right gable, while the rear section has brick stacks on the left and stone stacks on the right. The building is two storeys high with basements at the rear.
The front range originally had three windows, but now has two three-light wood casements with wood lintels. On the ground floor, there are two doors: one leading to Number 16 on the left and a half-glazed four-panel door to Rosemount in a recess on the right. The right side of the building has one two-light casement on each floor. The rear range features 12-pane sash windows on the right corner and return, with large stone lintels, as well as on the rear facade. At the rear corner of the right return, there is a two-storey former stable block made of rubble stone, which has quoins, double carriage doors, and a square opening above.
